Join us for a weekend of great climbing and good company on the wild and beautiful Gower peninsula from 30 August to 1 September.
The Gower Climbing Festival returns for an eleventh consecutive year in 2019, but with a new base; Moorlakes Wood is a private woodland next to Swansea Airport. It has camping fields, plenty of trees for hammocks, hard ground for campervans and a bunkhouse for those who don't have a tent.
There are toilets and drinking water on site but no showers or hook-up facilities. To stay is £5 a night for adults and £3 for children (no booking required), which all goes towards looking after the site.
How to find Moorlakes Wood Scout Activity Centre
Local enthusiasts will be on hand to provide visitors with info and recommendations on where to climb. Weekend activities will include workshops, a special guest speaker, a pub quiz and more.
