The annual BMC Cymru/Wales Fun Day and AGM returns - this time to the Beacon Climbing Centre, Caernarfon, North Wales. Come along on Saturday 24 November for free coaching, free instruction and an evening talk - by no less than BMC CEO Dave Turnbull

It's that time of year again: when the now legendary BMC Cymru/Wales Funday coincides with the more formal business of the BMC Cymru/Wales AGM. The location this year is the new Beacon Climbing Centre at Caernarfon in North Wales and the BMC are extremely grateful to the Beacon for hosting this gathering and also giving concessionary entry on the day for BMC members (with membership card) to the wall.

The action-packed day will start just after midday and there are plenty of activities that members can take part in. Places for some of these activities are limited and prebooking is essential. Email bmccymruwales@live.co.uk, stating clearly which session and times you wish to book for.

The main meeting (booking not required) will start at 6pm with free (yes free!) food at 8pm followed by a talk by the BMC boss himself Dave Turnbull (heckling positively encouraged!) recounting his epic ascent of an unclimbed Himalayan peak with Mick Fowler in 2011. There will also be a bar (not free!) at the Beacon for the evening.

BMC staff will be around all day to answer any questions about the BMC work, especially relating to access and conservation.

The BMC is extremely grateful to all the highly qualified and expert coaches and instructors who are donating their valuable time freely to the BMC for this event.
