This policy is for trekking above 5,000m, and most types of skiing, climbing and mountaineering on most peaks of up to 6,500m

What's Covered

  • Recreational skiing activities including: on-piste, off-piste (with or without a guide), cross-country/Nordic/Langlauf, dry slope/indoor slope, backcountry/ski touring, downhill, telemark, big-foot Skiing, mono-skiing, heli/cat skiing, glacier skiing and ski mountaineering
  • Scottish winter climbing, ice climbing and alpine climbing
  • All climbing in Europe and most peaks worldwide up to 6,500m
  • Trekking above 5,000m, other than in remote or inaccessible areas
  • Most trekking peaks in Nepal, standard trekking routes on Aconcagua, via Horcones-, Vacas- and Guanacos- Valleys
  • Snowboarding is included in Europe and can be covered Worldwide on payment of an additional premium

  • Exploratory expeditions and new routes on unclimbed peaks
  • High-altitude technical climbing over 6,500m, especially in the Greater Ranges (e.g. Himalaya, Tien Shan, Karakoram, Andes)
  • Competitive winter sports
  • Extreme skiing (unless agreed in writing), ski-jumping, paraskiing and kite-skiing
  • Freestyle (eg: aerials, big air, halfpipe, ski-cross and slopestyle)
