A very popular crag with groups and centres, but also has some excellent single pitch climbing on great rock in a wonderful setting. Belay stakes and anchors have been placed here in the past but please do not add any more wihtout counsulting with the BMC as the landowner does not want a prolifelation of ugly belay stakes along the cliff top.  Please ensure dogs are kept under strict control at all times.

Parking and Approach

Parking at the main road only.  Do not drive up the narrow single lane access track or park on this track under any circumstances as large farm vehicles need acccess to use this track at all times.

Group Advice

Suitable for and well used by groups under instruction but possibly consider other venues if the parking area on the main road is already full of minibuses!
Area information

A wide range of cliffs - mainly traditional and multi pitch inc. the popular Llanberis Pass, Idwal Slabs, Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Cwm Silyn cliffs, but also outlying outcrops such as Carreg Alltrem. Many crags are on CROW access land - but not all especially some of the outcrops which lie on private enclosed land. Most of central Snowdonia is both designated an SSSI and also is an European Special Area of Conservation on account of the upland habitat and associated geology and plants found here.
