Welcome

The arrival of ash die-back disease in Britain has the potential to drastically alter the nation’s landscape. Climbers and hill walkers can do their part in spotting the disease and helping to limit its spread by following Forestry Commission advice and reporting potential sightings.

Volunteers are the life blood of the BMC.  Some of our members have given decades of service to our specialist committees and technical working groups, and we’re keen to recruit new members with the right skills or expertise or just a desire to put something back into mountaineering.
