Welcome

At the Paraclimbing World Championships in Paris last month, Fran Brown took 1st place in the female physical-disability category, to become our first climbing world champion.

We all know that replacing our dependence on fossil fuels with more sustainable energy sources is a big issue these days, but that doesn’t mean we should accept the industrialisation of some of our finest mountain landscapes - that’s why we’re backing the MCofS wind farm manifesto.

The summer might have been a washout but let’s hope for some decent winter conditions this year; our Winter Lecture series starts next month, helping you to keep your skills as sharp as your axes and crampons.
