The Climbing World Championships and Paraclimbing World Championships were recently held in Paris. Nine GB Team climbers competed in the World Championships and three climbers in the Paraclimbing Championships - including Fran Brown.
All the GB Team athletes have competed now and the big news is that Fran Brown has just become Paraclimbing World Champion by coming first in the female physical-disability category.
This is fantastic news and all at the BMC send their congratulations.

Also, In the men's semifinal this morning, Ned Feehally fought valiantly to finish 18th overall. The rest of the GB team's results are as follows:

The World Championships is a key event in the IFSC bid for Olympic inclusion in 2020, and there will be several IOC delegates present to watch the event and judge how good competition climbing would be as an Olympic sport.
