User attention
Grease was applied to some holds in 2021, presumably to prevent climbing on that part of the crag. The holds remained greasy for some time but are now clean (ish). A new fence was placed below the crag at about the same time. Please ensure that you park carefully to avoid conflict with local people and avoid lamping or night time access as these issues may have contributed to the current situation. Please note and follow parking/approach information.
Contact has yet to be established with the owner of the land. Should you be approached by anyone during a visit please ask for a name, phone number, and email address, and pass these on to the BMC access team.

Parking and Approach
Park carefully and considerately here at the big gravelled area/layby (https://goo.gl/maps/Y1ugdZhSqPtkQ5ew5 ) and walk up the road toward Blubberhouses. At the 5 bar gate on the right (https://goo.gl/maps/Nf8TTFqh9U9yXui76 ), cross this carefully to access the moor and walk across to the crag. No lamping to take place here as a courtesy to local residents. If challenged please be polite and explain the land is open access and report to the BMC Yorkshire Area afterwards. Probably best to avoid large groups initially.
