To celebrate the public launch of BMC TV's Hard Rock film, the clothing is now even cheaper to buy! BMC members can get a tee for a rock-bottom price of £8 or a hoody for a bargain £15 from the BMC Shop. Climb the routes, then wear your tick list with pride.

Men's Hard Rock hoodies and tees

We teamed up with acclaimed illustrator Liam Dangerfield, who created our legendary trad sun design, to pay tribute to Hard Rock, the ultimate tick list. He designed this unique tick made up from the names of all the climbs in Ken's book: Hard Rock.

There are two super-warm organic hoodies in cloud grey or Navy. Alternatively, choose from one of the three tee colours: slate heather, sandstone or stone. Buy for yourself to inspire your climbing, or grab one as a present for the climber in your life.

To celebrate the public launch of BMC TV's film Hard Rock: a tribute to Ken Wilson, we're slashing prices on the clothing too. You can now grab a bargain Hard Rock t-shirt for £8 or a hoody for £15, great prices for BMC members.

WATCH: Hard Rock: a tribute to Ken Wilson on BMC TV

Hard Rock premiered at Kendal Mountain Festival 2016 to a welcoming audience. We showed the film twice in the Basecamp and once during BMC TV’s excitingly off-the-wall event Breakfast Club. The crowds laughed and gasped in all the right places and cheered and clapped when the credits rolled; we count that as winning!

If you missed it at Kendal, don't worry, it's now been uploaded and is available for everyone to watch as many times as they want, whenever they like... Hooray! Check out our other film that premiered at Kendal: The Bothy Project.

Organic Hoodies

Look at that tick. You won't be getting cold at the crag either, with one our new super heavyweight hoodies, made with organic combed cotton, a heavy 2x2 rib and a soft hand-feel.

Organic Tees

These 100% organic cotton tees are perfect for layering or wearing by themselves, available in three colours: stone, slate, or sandstone.

What is the Hard Rock book?

It’s the ultimate climbing ticklist. Many books have been written about British climbing, but one stands head-and-shoulders above the rest: the iconic Hard Rock, compiled by the late Ken Wilson. It might have first hit the shelves in 1974, but this feast of climbing literature has weathered the following years as easily as a granite crag.

Many of the routes listed continue to be at the top of any trad climber's ticklist. These 61 routes share 173 gleaming stars and all perfectly capture that unique feeling of British climbing adventure.

Wear the clothing - and be one of the first to watch the film

To celebrate the life of Ken Wilson (1941 – 2016), BMC TV teamed up with Hot Aches Productions to release this new film. Featuring never-seen-before interview footage with Ken describing just why he was so passionate about British trad climbing, reconstructions of his early climbing adventures and Steve McClure, Calum Muskett and Michaela Tracey climbing three iconic routes, this film is a 20-minute trad treat.

If you missed it at Kendal, don't worry, we've got a special Xmas pressie for you. It’s not available on BMC TV yet, but every person who buys a Hard Rock hoody or tee will be emailed an exclusive access code to be one of the first to watch the film.

We want to say a big thanks to every BMC member who continues to support us through the Coronavirus crisis.

From weekly Facebook Lives and GB Climbing home training videos, to our access team working to re-open the crags and fight for your mountain access, we couldn’t do it without you.

Did you know that we've just launched a new U27 membership offer for just £1.50 / month? And with full membership from £2.50 / month, it's never been easier to join and support our work:

Tell me this! All I want to know is, as a member, are there access problems at Langcliffe. English Heritage have placed signs up stating that there are bans imposed on large areas of the Quarry. It is impossible to find anything on this website other than down load yet another App!!! I don't want an app as I do not own a suitable phone. HONESTLY this web site is useless, far too complicated and total waste of time. When are we going to get some action. No wonder the Climbing fraternity use UKC.
