Posted by Jane Thompson on 19/10/2022

Introducing the Huts Seminar for 2022 with sessions covering sustainability, affordability, insurance & liability and increasing usage.

Calling all hut managers, operators, wardens, custodians and booking secretaries!

The Huts Seminar will take place on Saturday 19 November 2022, and we'll be running it as a hybrid event.  For those who are able to join in person we'll be in the BMC Office in Manchester, and for those unable to attend in person we will be using Zoom to allow you to join us.

We have a packed programme that includes:

  • A review of what the BMC Huts Group has been up to recently and plans for 2023
  • Good practice for increasing usage of huts
  • Insurance and liability
  • Sustainability in huts
  • Affordability in the huts network

Arrival will be from 9.30am and we aim to finish by 5pm.  For those attending in person there will be refreshments and lunch available.

There is no charge to attend the event, but whether you wish to attend in person or via Zoom please complete the short registration form below so that we know how many people to cater for and who to send the Zoom link to for the virtual attendees.

It costs £25 to plant one square metre of sphagnum moss and create a healthy moor. Thanks to you, we’ve raised £30,000 for The Climate Project so far. This will restore 1,200 square meters of sphagnum on our Peak District moors.
