Are you responsible for records, historically important equipment or an archive belonging to your club or do you have your own personal collection? Do you want guidance on the best way to ensure its long-term preservation?

If so, Maxine Willett, Collections Manager with the Mountain Heritage Trust, will be hosting sessions at the BMC office in Manchester on Thursday 18th September 2014 advising on the basic care of archive, artefact and library materials.

The sessions will look at what simple measures can be taken to ensure that deterioration of material is halted or reduced.  As the sessions are practical in nature do feel free to bring along anything you’d like to discuss in particular detail which requires a little TLC.

As you may be approaching a significant anniversary in your club’s history, we can also discuss the ways in which you can display historic material or make it more widely available to club members without harming the original.

The Sessions
