Petzl Anti-ball Plate Recall

The original rigid, orange ANTISNOW plates sold with Petzl Charlet IRVIS, VASAK and SARKEN crampons have been shown to abnormally accumulate snow in certain conditions. Because of this Petzl has decided to replace them with an improved version.

Beginning in June, Petzl will replace your antisnow plates free of charge. They will be available at your local climbing shop. Alternatively Petzl will mail new plates to you. This notice only concerns the antisnow plates, and is not a recall of any Petzl Charlet crampons. For more information please see the Petzl website.

Decathlon have issued a recall notice for the Simond Edge rope, the models affected are the 9mm x 80m and the 9mm x 100m. Users are requested to stop using any affected product and to return it to their nearest Decathlon store and be issued a refund.
