Petzl Charlet: Sarken Crampon Recall

Petzl Charlet has announced a general recall of all Sarken crampon models. No other model of crampon is affected.

Petzl Charlet is recalling all Sarken crampons. This is a technical mountaineering crampon, characterised by its T- section front points. With heavy use, premature wear can lead to cracking and eventually failure of the front points. The manufacturer felt that this left a lifespan for the crampons which was not up to their required standards.

Decathlon have issued a recall notice for the Simond Edge rope, the models affected are the 9mm x 80m and the 9mm x 100m. Users are requested to stop using any affected product and to return it to their nearest Decathlon store and be issued a refund.
