Simond, the Chamonix based cllimbing equipment manufacturer, have announced a recall of their Rocky straight and bent gate carabiners and quickdraws made during 2012 and 2013.
Simond announced a recall on Nov 4th 2013, covering Rocky straight and bent gate karabiners and quickdraws with 2012 and 2013 manufacturing dates. The recall was issued as a precaution after two carabiners were returned to Simond in which the rivet securing the gate had not been deformed. This meant that there was a possibility that the gate could become detached in use.
