Pete Graham and Ben Silvestre: how to climb a new route in Alaska

Brits Pete Graham and Ben Silvestre have climbed a new route on the east face of Jezebel, in the relatively unexplored east part of the Revelations Range at the south west end of the Alaska Range. Jezebel west summit 9650' has been climbed twice before, but the east summit 9450' and the east face were unclimbed.

British climbers stranded after first ascent in Alaska

In May experienced British mountaineers Derek Buckle and Paul Knott, supported by a grant from the Mount Everest Foundation, reached the summit of previously unclimbed Mt Eaton (3,336m GPS) in Alaska's St Elias Range. Subsequently, their escape, and eventual return to civilization, would be a close call.
