BMC National Council: summary of June 2015 meeting

The 44th meeting of the BMC National Council took place on Saturday 13 June 2015 at Malham Field Studies Centre in Yorkshire. A summary of the meeting is available to download.

The meeting covered a range of topics including:

  • BMC area news and reports,  including preparations for summer climbing and walking festivals;
  • governance of the BMC, clarifying the roles of the Executive Committee and National Council;
  • disused / decommissioned quarries as future climbing venues;
  • staff restructuring; and
  • a strategic update on the work of the Mountain Heritage Trust.
