BMC Huts Seminar 2026 at Plas y Brenin in North Wales
Save the Date: Saturday 7th February 2026
The BMC Huts Seminar will return on Saturday 7th February 2026.
You are invited to a day of interactive, face-to-face sessions sharing best practice in hut management, followed by an evening lecture celebrating the history of two iconic national huts - Don Whillans Memorial Hut and Alex MacIntyre Memorial Hut. Lecture proceeds will support our current huts crowdfunding campaign, please give generously here.
The event will, again, be run as a hybrid event - we hope that most members will join us in-person at Plas y Brenin in North Wales but those unable to travel are welcome to join on Zoom.

We are also hoping to be able to offer the chance to visit some of the club huts in North Wales on the Sunday to showcase some of the great practice that is taking place. If you have some element of your hut you would like to share with others or if you have any suggestions of huts you would like to visit please do get in touch via huts@thebmc.co.uk or via the booking form below. We are particularly interested in showcasing good practice that impacts on environmental sustainability and financial sustainability.
Food and accomodation
Lunch and refreshments will be provided to those joining us at Plas y Brenin.
If you require accommodation on either the Friday and/or Saturday night, please notify us on the booking form – bed spaces will be made available in a local club hut.
