You are invited to join a peer-led walk, hosted and led by BMC member and Lake District volunteer, Nicola Merrett (Hiking Highs). This social walk will start with a journey on the Ullswater Steamers from Glenridding to Howtown. Steamer fair is payable - £11.50. The Steamers will not run in very windy conditions and the walk will be adapted accordingly. From Howtown we will weave our way up into the secret valley of Martindale, listening and looking and watching the red deer in full voice. Our route will take us back over Bedafell, and past Angle Tarn along lesser walked paths, and returning steeply to Glenridding. We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable day in the outdoors!
