As part of our Hill Walking Webinar Series, David Matthews will be taking us on a journey through exploring and belonging in the hills and mountains.

This webinar will cover how that can build connection, independence, agency and resilience for everyone. Drawing on his background of working with young people, David will explore tuning into the outdoors and nature, how we can find our way and what that can mean more widely.

Connection to Nature is a three-part webinar series from the BMC exploring how time outdoors shapes our wellbeing and sense of direction, both physically and mentally. From getting to know the Coast-to-Coast Path, to understanding the powerful psychological benefits of nature connection, to building confidence in finding your way in the outdoors, this series blends inspiration and practical knowledge. Perfect for walkers, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a deeper relationship with the landscapes around them.

This BMC webinar series is free to attend and is open to BMC members and non-members.  Each webinar will last approximately 1h15m.

40 minutes for the webinar subject, 5 minutes for an update from the BMC Hill Walking Co-ordinator and a 30 minute Q+A.
