What is the Benchmarking Event?
The event is an opportunity for paraclimbers to:
- Demonstrate performance against the minimum entry standard.
- Take the first step into the GB Paraclimbing programme pathway
Where possible, we are working to have classification support available at the event for athletes who are unsure which classification category they may fall into. This is intended to help athletes better understand their likely category and next steps.
Details of the paraclimbing classification categories can be found on the World Climbing classification page.
Athletes who meet the required standard will be eligible to join the GB Paraclimbing Team and access:
- Engagement with domestic programme activity across the year
- The potential for international competition opportunities.
