Latest member discount at The Climbing Hub indoor wall, Bradford

Posted by Team BMC on 06/03/2024

The Climbing Hub indoor wall in Bradford is now offering a 10% discount off their full-price monthly membership to BMC members.

The Climbing Hub membership usually costs £40/month, so with the 10% BMC discount this will save you £48/year which is more than the cost of the current individual BMC membership. The Climbing Hub director Ramon Romero says, “We’re excited to be offering this discount to BMC members, and and we are already considering additional offers to support further BMC in their vision to create a better future for climbers. Simply show us your BMC membership card, or join the BMC online on arrival here at the front desk if you’re not already a member.”

The cost of an individual BMC membership currently stands at £35.41 by monthly direct debit, so it’s a no-brainer to join and recoup £12.59 immediately if you are or would like to be a regular at The Climbing Hub. If you’re under 27 you will save even more, with the same BMC membership deal saving you £26.73 on The Climbing Hub annual fees.

As a BMC member you will also benefit from a huge number of other perks and savings including the quarterly Summit magazine, 15% off at Cotswold Outdoor, Snow+Rock and Runners Need, discounted accommodation through the HotelPlanner search engine, free mapping software, access to BMC Travel Insurance and £15 million worldwide Combined Liability Insurance and £10,000 Personal Accident Insurance. The Climbing Hub is Bradford’s first climbing wall, located on Beckside Road in west Bradford. Facilities include a climbing wall, dry tooling wall, gym, yoga/karate studio, cafe and a small shop. There is plenty of parking, a ramp for wheelchair and pram access, and a ground-floor disabled toilet.

The wall is run by directors Ramon Romero and Ejaz Hussain who are both passionate about getting more people into climbing. Ramon says, “As the first climbing wall in Bradford our intention is to create new climbers and new outdoor enthusiasts. The atmosphere at The Climbing Hub is welcoming, warm and supportive - it’s a wall for everybody, and climbing is for everybody.

“You don’t need to be a hardcore climber to come here - we support all reasons for climbing and all ability levels. We are fully committed to providing a safe and welcoming space for all climbers, regardless of age, ability, or background. We have the desire and interest here to teach everyone and make everyone welcome. Our mottos are ‘Get Bradford Climbing’ and ‘Climbing is a journey.’ Just turn up and we’ll get you on to a new path.

“Climbing can help anybody while developing great friendships and having fun. The benefits of climbing are endless and at The Climbing Hub we support every one of them, regardless of where you are in your climbing journey. You can improve your physical fitness, strength, mental well-being, develop problem solving skills and learn to push outside your comfort zone. Come and give it a go!

“We also offer youth climbing development in our Hub Development Squad, with coached sessions for young climbers with potential on Monday and Friday evenings. Dry tooling is another of our specialities with sessions twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. If you turn up to one of those club sessions we will give you a free dry tooling induction with equipment supplied.”
