Lucho Dillitos join our Hills 2 Oceans campaign

Posted by Jon Chittenden on 25/08/2020

We’re excited to announce that Luchos Dillitos have now joined the BMC Hills 2 Ocean campaign as a sponsor. Luchos Dillitos are race-proven natural energy bars that come in a compostable leaf wrapping.

This year, we want to remove mountains of waste from the places we love. There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean. If no action is taken, this figure will treble within the next ten years. 80% of litter in the seas comes from inland. Plastic bottles, crisp packets, cigarette packs and cans will end up in our oceans unless we do something about it.

Our Hills 2 Oceans (H20) campaign started in 2019. We offer hand-held litter pickers, reusable and biodegradable bin bags as well as all the information you need to get started in our resource pack. As mountain litter has increased during Covid, we’ve sent out over 800 litter pickers and 2,000 bags in the summer season.

We’re now excited to announce a new partnership with Lucho Dillitos. Lucho Dillitos are all-natural Colombian energy bars. Race proven for over 50 years, these delicious blocks of guava are a tasty and natural way to get an energy boost. And, not only are they a natural, gluten-free, vegan snack, they come in a 100% compostable leaf wrapper. They come in four great flavours: classic plain guavaguava and raspberryguava and feijoa and guava and coffee.
