The Samsung Olympic Games Pledge

In 1922 Great Britain came within metres of conquering Mount Everest. In 1924 rare Olympic Games medals were awarded to the heroic team. In their honour, a promise was made to take one of these medals to the summit of Everest however, for many different reasons, this never happened. In 2012, in the year of the Olympiad, in one of the most treacherous climbing seasons on record, Kenton Cool succeeded in taking of the Gold medals awarded to the team in 1924 back to Everest to fulfill the Samsung Olympic Games Pledge.
