Welfare Volunteer
Purpose of this role
To oversee the welfare of the athletes at climbing competitions and benchmarking events
Key responsibilities
- Being a point of contact for the athletes to speak to about any welfare concerns.
- Reporting any safeguarding or welfare concerns to the Event Co-ordinator.

- In date DBS - essential
- In date Safeguarding training - essential
- First aid qualification – desirable
- Mental health first aid – desirable
- Willingness to want to support our athletes in what can often be a challenging and stressful environment
At climbing competition and benchmarking events run by the BMC.
Minimum to able to commit to a morning or afternoon at a single event.
