BMC Peak Area Meeting
Join our next BMC Peak Area meeting as it heads to Hathersage on Wed 29th July

- Entry: Free to attend, free chip butties and a paid bar
- Speaker: BMC president, Dominic Oughton - 'Completing Hard Rock'
The meeting will take place in the Cafe upstairs.
Join the Peak Area team and BMC President Dominic Oughton for a relaxed and friendly evening with fellow climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers from across the Peak District. Whether you're a regular or brand new, it's a chance to catch up with old friends, meet new ones and chat all things BMC.
The Peak Area are delighted to welcome BMC President Dominic Oughton, who will be sharing his experiences of completing 'Hard Rock'.
Hard Rock is a famous collection of great climbs from the 'Hard Rock' book by Ken Wilson (1974), covering routes from all over the UK, including 'the Scoop' on Strone Ulladale.
Weather permitting, we plan to meet for a social climb with Dom at the popular end of Stanage before the meeting, so come along for a climb and a chat from 14.00 or you may prefer to join us on a social walk, for more info on the walk and to sign up go to Eventbrite.
We warmly invite members, friends, and those with an interest in outdoor adventures to join us for the evening.
Area Meetings are run by volunteers and provide an opportunity for you to discuss issues and influence decisions affecting climbers and walkers locally and nationally.

We currently have vacancies for a local Climbing Wall Rep & Clubs Rep these roles can be shared by more than one person.
We would love to encourage anyone who would like to get involved with the local area to get in touch, even if you can't commit to one of the vacant roles. We welcome anyone who wants to volunteer for the area, there is always something to do.
