BMC support crowdfunding drive by CPRE

The BMC is proud to support the crowdfunding drive by CPRE Peak District and South Yorkshire in opposition to further road building on the edge of the Peak District. The following is an urgent message from lead campaigner Anne Robinson:

"The A57 Link Roads (Mottram Bypass and Glossop Spur) on the western edge of the Peak Park have been consented by the government. These would enable a proposed dualling of the road through the National Park and on to the M1, severely damaging the beauty, tranquillity, and people’s enjoyment of Longdendale.

CPRE PDSY is making a last stand to try and stop this scheme by challenging the decision through the court, but it needs funding to cover the legal costs. Please consider supporting their efforts by visiting this page and pledging what you can afford and spreading the message and link."
