Celebrate the BMC Big Walking Weekend as we head up to the summit of Helm Crag from Grasmere.

REGISTER FOR THE WALK

As part of the BMC Big Walking Weekend, BMC Lakes Area volunteers Ken Taylor and Liz Jolley will guide you through scenery at the very heart of the English Lake District, surrounded by high fells. Starting from the picturesque village of Grasmere, with its Wordsworth connections, we will climb steeply up onto the ridge linking Helm Crag to Calf Crag. Using a rough and at times rocky high level path, we will take in three ‘Wainwrights’. Our return will be by the secluded Far Easedale Valley, and, if time permits, we’ll traverse across the hillside to visit Easedale Tarn, before descending to Grasmere.
