Meet Fran Brown: the real spider woman

Fran Brown wows the media at the Westway

An article in the Sunday Telegraph likens Paraclimbing World Champion Fran Brown to spider woman. One thing is for sure - she is a super woman.

British climber Fran Brown is the current paraclimbing world champion. She won the female physical-disability category at the Paraclimbing World Championships held in Paris in September 2012.

Following a BMC media event about climbing and the Olympics last month, sports reporter Sue Mott caught up again with Fran to hear her inspiring story of her fight to the top after an accident at work left her with a spinal cord injury which means she is an incomplete tetraplegic.

The English Federation of Disability Sport has also covered Fran's story.

Find out more about Fran on her website.
