Welsh Bouldering Championships 2022

The Welsh Bouldering Championships will take place on 7 & 8 May 2022

Taking place on the weekend of 7 & 8 May 2022 at Roc-Bloc, the newest dedicated bouldering facility in Cardiff. This competition will be the first in our new National Bouldering Series. 

The series will include four bouldering rounds taking place across the four nations; England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. You can enter an individual round or you can enter all four rounds and be crowned series champion. 

Categories: Youth A, B, C, D and Senior (16 upwards, including if you turn 16 in the year of the competition)

Registration opens at 8am on Friday 8 April and closes at Midday on Friday 29 April

Saturday 7 May - Youth C & Senior Categories

Sunday 8 May - Youth A, B and D Categories

Format:

Eight bloc scramble format with 2.5 hours to attempt all blocs. There is a maximum of five attempts on each bloc.

Top 6 in each category will proceed to the final.

More details regarding entry numbers will be provided in January. 

Rules;

It is important to read the Rules for this event as they include a COVID addendum which will be updated and published in due course.

All competitors will need to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test 24 hours prior to attending the competition.

Entry;

Fee: £35

All competitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by one parent/guardian only, but loco parentis can be used where required. If a parent/guardian, spectator or coach volunteers to assist in the running of the competition on the day, this will be in addition to the accompanying adult.

Late entries will not be accepted.

To enter you must complete our online booking form, with successful payment, by the entry deadline. Forms without payment will NOT be accepted.

All competitors MUST be a current member of the BMC to enter.

Cancellation policy

  • If you cancel less than five business days before the competition - you will not be entitled to a refund.
  • If you cancel more than five business days before the competition - you will receive a 50% refund.
  • If the competition is cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstance - you will be entitled to a full refund.

Rhoddir mwy o fanylion ynglŷn â rhifau mynediad ym mis Ionawr.

Rheolau;

Mae hi’n bwysig i ddarllen Rheolau  ar gyfer y digwyddiad yma, gan eu bod yn cynnwys adendwm COVID.

Bydd yr holl gystadleuwyr angen darparu tystiolaeth o brawf llif unffordd 24 cyn myned i’r gystadleuaeth.

Mynediad;

Bydd rhaid i bob cystadleuydd o dan 18 gael eu tywys gan un rhiant/gwarcheidwad yn unig, ond gellir loco parentis gael ei ddefnyddio os oes angen. Os bydd rhiant/gwarcheidwad yn gwirfoddoli i helpu i redeg y gystadleuaeth ar y diwrnod, bydd hyn yn ychwanegol i’r oedolyn tywys.

Ni fydd mynediadau hwyr yn cael eu derbyn.

Er mwyn myned i’r digwyddiad, mae rhaid cwblhau ein ffurflen fwcio ar-lein, gyda thaliad llwyddiannus, erbyn y terfyn amser. NI FYDD ffurflenni heb dal yn cael eu derbyn.

Bydd RHAID i bob cystadleuydd fod yn aelod presennol o’r BMC er mwyn myned i’r gystadleuaeth. Ymunwch yma.

Os nad ydych wedi defnyddio’r system fwcio ar lein o’r blaen, bydd rhaid i chi greu cyfrif er mwyn mewngofnodi.

Polisi canslad

  • Os byddwch yn canslo gyda llai na phum diwrnod busnes cyn y gystadleuaeth - ni fyddwch â hawl ad-daliad.
  • Os byddwch yn canslo mwy na phum diwrnod cyn y gystadleuaeth – byddwch yn derbyn ad-daliad o 50%.
  • Os bydd y gystadleuaeth yn cael ei chanslo oherwydd digwyddiad annisgwyl, byddwch yn derbyn ad-daliad llawn.
