Silver for Shauna in Med Open

Junior Team competes in the med

Rising star Shauna Coxsey came joint second in the Mediterranean Open in Aix en Provence last month, as the Junior Team got off to a good start to the season of international competitions.

Sixteen young climbers represented Great Britain - 13 junior team and aspirant team members plus three others (as it was an open comp).

Jonathan Stocking came third in his group.  Junior Team Coach Ian Dunn said: "All those competing posted good results."

Shauna also qualified for a quota place to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and, after winning bronze in the Olympic-style Combined event, hopes are high for further success next year.
