The power of media exposure, collective action and getting more women behind the camera with Tanya Naville

This workshop will explore how media exposure and collective action can help shift narratives in mountain and outdoor films. Drawing on the Femmes en Montagne’ non-profit organization 's key initiatives — from the film festival to our school tours and our professional program supporting women behind the camera — we’ll look at concrete ways to support more inclusive storytelling. The session will also be interactive: we’ll exchange ideas and build a shared toolbox of actions to encourage more women to tell stories, take leadership roles and find inspiration to enter outdoor sports and filmmaking.

Tanya is the Founder and Director of Femmes en Montagne, a French film festival and year-round program promoting gender equality and inclusion in mountain sports and filmmaking.
