Following the September Members' Council meeting, the BMC is pleased to welcome four new representatives who bring unique expertise and passion to the Council.

These appointments are on a co-option basis, for approval (or otherwise) at the 2025 AGM.

As the primary representative body of the BMC, the Members' Council works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the voices of climbers, hill walkers, and mountaineers are heard, influencing the direction of the BMC and safeguarding the interests of its members. The Council acts as a key forum for consultation, providing feedback to the Board on major decisions while ensuring transparent communication between the Board and BMC members.

The Council's voting membership comprises locally and nationally elected representatives, along with specialists from various areas of expertise. These members work tirelessly to foster the growth and sustainability of outdoor activities, ensuring that access to our natural landscapes remains open and well-managed. This year, the BMC is pleased to welcome four new representatives who bring unique expertise and passion to the Council.
