Celebrate the BMC Big Walking Weekend as we explore one of the highest points in Southern England. With picturesque countryside through the heart of the Surrey Hills, we’re heading up to Leith Hill.

REGISTER FOR THE WALK

The walk starts in the village of Gomshall and heads out through farmland, villages and picturesque countryside into the heart of the Surrey Hills. We’ll climb through Abinger Common and Wotton Common, up to the peak of Leith Hill. The return leg will follow the Greensand Way back through to Gomshall. Leith Hill is the highest point in Surrey and the second highest point in Southern England. It reaches up to 294m and offers stunning views of the South Downs, as well as the London skyline.

The walk is open to anyone, whether you’re a BMC member or not. It’s ideal for anyone interested in hiking and hill walking, or any climbers and mountaineers who want to get out and meet like-minded people within the local area. BMC London and South East volunteer, Oliver Hicks-Pattison will be your guide fo the walk.
