BMC Midlands Area Meeting
Come to our next gathering of Midlands climbers and walkers and get involved in the BMC.
The next BMC Midlands area meeting will be held on Wednesday 6 November. This meeting will be a hybrid event, taking place in-person at Erdington Conservative Club and online through Zoom. The meeting will start at 7:00pm.
Due to limited capacity at the venue, please register to attend here or via the button below.
Area Meetings are an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and have a say in the future of the BMC and the activities we support in your area. You'll hear updates on local issues and have the opportunity to vote on a number of matters.
Parking available onsite and if required, in the surrounding streets (please park considerately!). Click here to learn more about the BMC's Liftshare platform.
Erdington train station is approximately an 8 minute walk away.
A talk by Gary Gibson
Following the meeting, there will be a talk by Gary Gibson. Gary’s climbing career spans five decades, during which it’s hard to imagine anyone else who’s courted so much controversy while having such a significant impact on British rock climbing. Fresh from a trip to Kalymnos, and with his new route tally ~5,300, come and hear from the man himself, a fellow BMC Midlands Area member, about what drove him as he reflects on his climbing legacy so far.
