Do you regularly work with young people aged between 6 and 18? If so, check out our coaching children workshop.

The BMC’s new Coaching Children workshop is designed to help coaches better understand how they can maximize the impact of their coaching sessions with young people. Discover how to create a stimulating and positive learning environment, where young climbers are motivated to learn through fun, enjoyment and challenge. Coaching Children will introduce coaches to innovative new tools and practices to help them develop all facets of a young person’s climbing skills, from the technical and tactical to the mental.

In addition, this workshop also aims to provide coaches with a clear framework of safe practice in the introduction of basic physical training for young people to support their climbing.

Also learn from other professionals as we give coaches the opportunity to share good practice and personal knowledge and experience with others, picking up new ideas for their own coaching practice.

Key Learning Outcomes:

1.      Identify the characteristics of key developmental windows for young people

2.      Learn how to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment

3.      Identify and select appropriate physical training protocols for young people

4.      Highlight the importance of psychological skills development
