Donate to the BMC

The BMC’s Mend Our Mountains campaign encourages everyone who values the hills, mountains and landscapes of Britain to donate and protect the place they love. It’s come a long way from our very first, ‘one-off’ crowdfunding drive in 2016. Since then we’ve raised close to a million pounds, and we’re set to raise even more in the coming years.

The Climate Project is a collection of nature-based solutions brought to you by the BMC, which are helping to protect and restore nature, and address the climate and biodiversity crisis. We are working with Moors For the Future and Seagrass Ocean Rescue to raise money for their restoration projects, and will be providing members with the opportunity to help plant Sphagnum in the Peak District and Seagrass along the North Wales coast.

The BMC owns eight crags across England and Wales, and actively supports the management of several others for the benefit of climbers. The money the charity has goes into upkeeping these sites.

As a developing national team, the GB Climbing Team is managed within a finite funding envelope and as such, we are not able to provide support to athletes at all events throughout the season. We are grateful for the support of our partners which enables us to do more for our climbers at more events. Other ways the climbers and team can be supported is through individual donations.

The BMC has three charities that need your help: Access and Conservation Trust, Land and Property Management and Mountain Heritage Trust.

Whether this is for one-year, multiple years or as part of a wider CSR strategy, we can work with you to develop a bespoke calendar of events that will inspire, engage and educate your employees.

Whether you want to help mend footpaths, plant sphagnum moss, fix the moors or remove invasive species, we've got many opportunities for you to get stuck in!
