LAWRLWYTHWCH AM DDIM: ARWEINLYFR GWYN GOGLEDD CYMRU
Mae Arweinlyfr Gwyn Gogledd Cymru yn ganllaw rhad ac am ddim i hysbysu ac addysgu dringwyr gaeaf yn Eryri ar y ffyrdd gorau i fwynhau'r ardal, tra'n lleihau difrod i gynefinoedd gwarchodedig ac amgylcheddau bregus.
Nod y canllaw hwn yw hysbysu ac addysgu dringwyr gaeaf am rai o’r cynefinoedd a phlanhigion bregus a rhyngwladol-bwysig a allai gael eu difrodi gan ddringo yn y gaeaf, a sut y gall dringwyr helpu i leihau unrhyw ddifrod posibl trwy nodi arfer gorau.
Mae llawer o'r lleoliadau dringo gaeaf gorau yn Eryri hefyd yn Safleoedd o Ddiddordeb Gwyddonol Arbennig pwysig iawn, a warchodir yn gyfreithiol, a allai gael eu niweidio'n anfwriadol pe baent yn cael eu dringo mewn amodau gwael neu â thechnegau gwael. Wedi'i ddefnyddio ar y cyd â data tymheredd tywarchen byw o'r gorsafoedd monitro o amgylch Eryri, mae Arweinlyfr Gwyn Gogledd Cymru yn galluogi dringwyr i ymddwyn yn gyfrifol wrth gynllunio taith.
Mae’r canllaw yn gyfuniad o waith Dr Barbara Jones (Gwirfoddolwr y BMC ac yn flaenorol Ecolegydd yr Ucheldir i CCGC), Elfyn Jones (Swyddog Mynediad a Chadwraeth y BMC), Joe Roberts (gwirfoddolwr BMC a Swyddog Polisi Mynediad CCGC) gyda mewnbwn gan Simon Panton a gweithredwyr gaeaf Gogledd Cymru Mark “Baggy” Richards.
Trwy ddefnyddio cyfuniad o dopos clir o’r prif ardaloedd dringo a lluniau agos o blanhigion a chynefinoedd pwysig, mae’n dangos y safleoedd sydd fwyaf sensitif a bregus, ac yn rhoi cyngor ar sut i leihau effaith amgylcheddol dringo yn y lleoliadau hyn ac yn pwysleisio’r angen i sicrhau bod angen i ddringwyr aros am amodau da a’r angen i ddefnyddio technegau da a’r offer cywir i leihau difrod.
Trwy ddilyn y cyngor syml, ond hynod allweddol, yn y canllaw, y gobaith yw y bydd dringo gaeaf a chadwraeth yn gallu cydfodoli’n llwyddiannus yn y lleoliadau hyn, gan osgoi’r angen am reolaethau ffurfiol neu statudol ar ddringo ar y safleoedd hyn.

In the last three years Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park Authority have been very active in working on a number of lower level bridleways around Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and more recently started work on the bridleway connecting Capel Curig to Crafnant. While some of these trails have given opportunities to link communities and provide access to lesser-abled users, the scale and nature of the works on some of the routes that pass through some wild and remote areas has also surprised many users.
