Which level of cover?

BMC Travel Insurance provides cover under 5 different levels: Travel, Trek, Rock, Alpine & Ski and High Altitude & Remote Areas. Cover for Marathon des Sables is included in the Rock policy which you can select at ‘Step 1’ of the online application.

Which territory?

Because it is in North Africa, cover for travel to Morocco is included in Worldwide 1.

Why choose BMC for your race?

Our insurance includes cover for cancellation covers you if you become injured and can no longer safely participate in the race. The BMC is a not-for-profit organisation and all money from our Travel Insurance policies goes back into the work we do to support climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers.

Do I have to be a BMC member?

If you are not already a BMC member, you will need to join the BMC to use BMC Travel Insurance, but don’t worry you can organise your BMC membership at ‘Step 4’ of the online application.
