This social walk will explore one of the most impressive sections of Hadrian’s Wall along the top of Whin Sill ridge and heading north along the Pennine Way. Returning to Steel Rigg car park along grassy paths and stony tracks passing Greenlee Lough, a national nature reserve and the largest natural lake in Northumberland. The walk includes some short steep ascents and will also visit the iconic Sycamore Gap site, where the infamous Sycamore tree once stood. The Pennine way section can be boggy so appropriate footwear is required. We’re excited to welcome you for a memorable day in the outdoors!
