GB Climbing end 2025 Paraclimbing season with double bronze in Laval
Great Britain's Paraclimbing team closed their 2025 World Cup campaign with two bronze medals at the final round of the IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup in Laval, France.
The event at Espace Mayenne brought the season to a close with standout performances from Charly Andrew and Esme Harte, both securing podium finishes in a strong international field.
In her first season on the international circuit, Charly Andrew claimed bronze in the RP3 category, reaching hold 42+ in the final. The result marks the 34-year-olds first World Cup medal and caps an impressive debut campaign which also saw her place 5th at the IFSC Paraclimbing World Cup in Innsbruck.

Esme Harte made a successful return to the international scene with bronze in the AL2 category, scoring 23 in the final. The result came in Harte's first season back since 2016.
Reflecting on her season, Esme said:
"My season has gone better than planned. Does that mean I'm happy with how I climbed in the finals? No, not really. But, if I ever come away and I am completely happy with every aspect of my climbing I will know there is nothing left to work on or learn for next time.
"I didn't expect to get on the podium so soon after returning to competition (and so soon after surgery) but it is a bonus that highlights the effort myself and my team have been putting in."
